About PaxCalc
PaxCalc is a simple event capacity calculator that helps estimate how many people can fit in a room, venue, or event space based on usable floor area, layout type, and space deductions.
The tool is designed for quick planning estimates for events, weddings, classrooms, meetings, receptions, standing events, banquet layouts, and other common space-planning scenarios.
PaxCalc uses layout-based space-per-person factors to compare tight, standard, and spacious planning estimates. Users can also subtract areas that guests cannot occupy, such as stages, dance floors, buffet areas, AV booths, and other unusable space.
PaxCalc is for planning only. It is not an official occupancy or code-compliance tool. Official occupancy limits depend on local building and fire codes, exits, sprinklers, furniture layout, room shape, fixed seating, net versus gross floor area, and approval by local authorities.
